Grosa, S.L. in the port of Tazacorte

Our company has extensive experience in the development of work with large tonnage cranes in the Canary Islands. Among many other projects, today we would like to recall the participation of Grosa S.L. in the expansion of the port of Tazacorte, on the island of La Palma.

For this work we use our Demag CC 1.100 crane. This crane is mounted on tracks, has a maximum load capacity of 250 Tm and a boom length of 78 meters.

The extension project of the dock had its reason to be as an extension of the nautical facilities for sports use and to improve the shelter of the interior dock of the port, thus avoiding the entrance of the long wave inside.

The role of Grosa in this expansion of the port of Tazacorte was, mainly, the placement of protections in different places of the dock. To cite some examples, in the outer breakwater in slope was placed the protection mantle against temporary. In the prefabricated drawers we place the protections of the foot, breakwaters and guard block.

The work of Grosa S.L in the expansion of the port of Tazacorte was indispensable, since we are the only company with a mobile crane of these characteristics in the Canary Islands.

In the video presentation of the project you can see perfectly the work we do in our company to improve and modernize this installation.

It currently has 350 berths spread over 9 pontoons. They can dock boats of great length so it can be the ideal place as a starting point to navigate the Canary Islands.

Thanks to the expansion of the port of Tazacorte and the collaboration of Grosa, the town has modern facilities that you can meet with 360º images in the http://360.puertoscanarios.es/tazacorte/tazacorte.htmlfollowing link.
